Full course description

Course Description:

Discover the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence in this engaging AI Showcase. Through live demonstrations, you'll see a variety of AI tools in action, compare free and paid options, and explore practical ways AI is transforming how we work, create, learn, and solve problems.

In this session, we will cover the following AI tools:

  • Napkin AI: an AI tool that automatically converts text into engaging visuals, such as flowcharts, mind maps, diagrams, and infographics
  • Scribe: a workflow documentation platform that automatically generates step-by-step guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training manuals by watching your screen while you work
  • Descript: an AI-powered audio and video editing tool that transcribes your media, allowing you to edit it by simply deleting, copying, or changing the text in the transcript – just like editing a document in a word processor
  • Audiate: another text-based AI audio and video editing software that can be plugged into Camtasia

(Please note that these tools are not provided by the University of Wyoming.)

Date/Time: Jul.16, 2:00-3:30 PM (mountain)

Location: via Zoom (a meeting link will be provided after enrollment)

Instructor: Alec Muthig (UWIT)
