Web CMS Site Cleanup (Jul.21, 9:00-10:30 AM, via Zoom)

Course Description:

A little work now, a lot less work later.

In order to fully prepare our site authors for a successful migration to our new Content Management System (CMS), current CMS users have been asked to clean up their site(s). This is a critical part of transitioning only pages, files and images that are currently being used. This course will show you how to delete old files and pages, replace files & images, create page redirects and walk you through saving files from our current CMS to a department SharePoint or your computer. While this course is not required, it is HIGHLY encouraged. Prize incentives for your participation will be released soon!

• Saving CMS files to SharePoint or your computer
• Unpublishing and deleting files
• Unpublishing and deleting pages
• Checking to see if a file, page or image in currently in use
• Replacing files or images
• Creating page redirects
