Course Description:
This workshop covers the use of Excel’s versatile and essential VLOOKUP function, along with additional related functions (HLOOKUP, INDEX, and MATCH). We will use a wide range of examples, from financial through research data, to explore these functions. (2 hour session, with a 30 minute optional practice lab immediately following)
VLOOKUP is useful for locating and returning related information, automatically classifying data, comparing two sets of data for matching or missing information, and more!
Prerequisites: This is an intermediate-level course. To participate, you should have at least a basic working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets AND some experience writing simple formulas.
