Full course description

Course Description:

Need to learn how to create a batch of personalized letters or emails to send to your professional contacts?  In this new, project-based workshop, we will work from start to finish through three different mail merge projects.  The first project covers how to carefully prepare and clean a list of contact information (in Excel), connect a document to the Excel data source (in Word), create a mail merge letter with merge fields, apply filters so that only records from specified zip codes are merged, and then review all of the resulting personalized letters.  The second project covers merging contact information from an Access database into bulk email messages.  The final project we will merge data into printable labels.  We will also cover the use of special rules (including how to deal with missing data).

The workshop primarily covers Word mail merge and Excel data preparation skills, along with minor work in an Access database.
