Course Description:
This workshop introduces a programming novice, or programmer new to Python, to the Python scripting language. We will cover the basics of programming such as variables, data types, conditions, loops, functions, and more. We will use the open-source integrated development environment (IDE) Spyder and leave students with a list of additional resources to use to build on the skills learned in this course, including hints on using Python for scientific computing.
