Course Description:

This workshop takes a programming novice and introduces them to the Python scripting language. We will cover the basics of programming such as assigning variables, executing for loops, functions, and much more.  We will use the Matlab-like open-source cross-platform IDE Spyder and leave students with a list of additional resources to use to build upon the skills learned in this course.  (This workshop is presented by the UW Advanced Research Computing Center.
